Back in print with gorgeously restored artwork! From beloved children’s book creators Ruth Krauss and Maurice Sendak, this classic jacketed hardcover picture book of poems perfectly captures the realm of childhood with humor, truth, and beauty.
First published in 1958, the seventeen poems in the book grew from words that Ruth Krauss heard children say. From The Happy Egg to The Rain That Couldn’t Rain, and, of course, Somebody Else’s Nut Treeand more, paired with Sendak’s black-and-white drawings, each love-filled page mirrors the essence of the engaging, unselfconscious words.
HarperCollins is proud to present this new edition of Somebody Else’s Nut Tree that has been printed in close collaboration with the Maurice Sendak Foundation to ensure that Maurice Sendak’s original artwork has been reproduced to the highest standards.
